War and Violence

The 30% doctrine and totalist warfighting

The 30% figure — that decisive military victory historically requires killing approximately 30% of the enemy's fighting-age males — recurs across:

• Hypothetical American civil war — regime forces (~10% of the population, ~2M fighting-age men) vs. constitutional forces (~100M with ~6M fighting-age men). 30% × 2M ≈ 750,000 regime dead.
• Israel / Gaza — the casualty rate Israel is approaching is read as the historically necessary level for a decisive military outcome.

The kinetic civil war scenario

• Regime forces: military, law enforcement, federal alphabet agencies, Antifa, regime-loyal unions and NGOs (~10% of population)
• Constitutional / Republic forces: legacy population that wants the Constitution restored (~100M, 3:1 numerical advantage)
• Initial regime advantage: institutional control of military and law enforcement
• Initial Republic advantage: numbers, narrative, latent legitimacy

Three operational requirements for the constitutional side:

1. Label the regime as criminal cartel / occupying force / insurrectionists — own the narrative; restoration framing beats revolution framing.
2. Immediately seize all military and law-enforcement assets in states under constitutional control — without this, the early-phase advantage flips.
3. Make explicit the willingness to use force to restore constitutional order, including the 30% kill target.

Sainthood under civil war

In a civil war between two odious factions — socialists vs. Zionists / sionists — the Christian's path is not to pick a side (raw/keep/sainthood-in-a-civil-war.md):

The well-educated Christian must not pick between socialists and Zionists. The path is sainthood: martyr, builder, or servant. Never picking a side — there is no good fruit from poisonous trees.

Three sainthood archetypes:

• Martyr — bears witness through suffering (Assange named as exemplar)
• Builder — constructs something the regime cannot destroy (Musk as exemplar)
• Servant — anonymous service that holds up communities (the volunteer the regime never names)

This sits in deliberate tension with the constitutional-restoration scenario in raw/keep/the-future-of-the-union.md, which commits the author to the constitutional / republic side. The two positions are kept distinct: the constitutional restoration is a specifically American framing; the sainthood-vs-civil-war frame applies when the war is between two equally compromised ideological factions, neither of which has a legitimate claim.

Theology as alternative to war

The constructive frame (raw/keep/theology-as-alternative-to-war.md):

"Theological discussions are never about theology. They are a way to have a political debate that doesn't end in war… Wars only happen when one side or both loses faith in the idea of the search for truth and instead becomes more interested in defending their regulatory system." — raw/keep/theology-as-alternative-to-war.md

Logos-oriented dispute (truth-conversion, see the-logos-machine) lowers the existential stakes of disputes because both sides accept that truth might be revealed and neither will resent the outcome. War erupts when one side abandons truth-seeking for defending its regulatory system — the ALGO, the Caliphate, the regime's preferred procedure.

The contemporary "theological doctrines" — Civil Rights, Whiteness, Self-determination — are therefore real stakes, not idle abstractions. The political fight over them is theological in form: whoever wins controls the regulatory system that the other side then must accept.

Mockery → exclusion → violence: the escalation pipeline

A pipeline visible across raw/keep/head-heart-hands.md and raw/keep/theology-as-alternative-to-war.md:

• Head — argument, education, intellectual exchange. The minimum-cost mode.
• Heart — social disapproval, mockery, derision, exclusion. The most efficient mode for contested but non-existential issues. Two of three (head + heart) shift opinion without violence.
• Hands — physical force. The last resort, justified only when head + heart have failed and the alternative is regime survival.

The proxy-war structure (raw/keep/proxy-wars.md, raw/keep/iran-strategy.md):

• Israel as Zionist-crusader proxy in the Middle East (American war without American casualties)
• Ukraine as Russia-containment proxy
• Houthis as Iran-pretext proxy ("kick the dog until it bites")
• India as the candidate proxy against China

Trump's pivot is reading proxy commitments down (Ukraine), repositioning the proxy game toward China, and accepting Israel's totalist phase as the necessary cost of decisive Middle-East settlement. (empire-and-geopolitics)

Standing problems and gaps

• Christian repentance vs. 30% kill doctrine. raw/keep/proportionality-versus-peace.md condemns pagan transactional retribution; raw/keep/why-america-should-support-netanyahu-in-israel.md and raw/keep/the-future-of-the-union.md embrace a starkly transactional kill ratio. The bridge — "war suspends individual accountability" and God judges the peace — is functionally a pagan totalist ethic dressed in Aquinas language. The article preserves the tension rather than resolving it.
• Just-war probability of success vs. totalist victory. Ukraine: stop because you can't win. Gaza: kill 30% because half-measures prolong suffering. The unifying principle is no war you can't decisively win — but this remains implicit.
• Sainthood vs. constitutional restoration. Refuse to pick between socialists and Zionists, but commit the constitutional side to killing 750,000.
